As your 4-time MAYOR, I work FULL-TIME, available everyday, to preserve our quality of life.
We all love our city. It is where we decided to sink roots and raise our families. Yet it is threatened by rising crime, which is unacceptable. I will continue working to hire more Deputy Sheriffs to keep our children, families and neighborhoods safe.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Providing expanded law enforcement; zero tolerance for gangs, drugs and graffiti.
– PRESERVE OPEN SPACE
I led the fight to preserve forever Elsemere, Placerita and Whitney Canyons and will continue working to protect our Santa Clarita Open Space.
I helped secure funds for public facilities: City of Santa Clarita Aquatics / Activities Center, Community Centers in Newhall and Canyon Country; expanded sports areas in Central Park; expanded walking and bike trails; and the cube.
Provided Funds for NEW SCV SENIOR CENTER, Expanded Senior Services and Housing.
– PROTECT QUALITY OF LIFE
Preserved forever 13,000 acres of open space; 1,420 acres of the Santa Clara River – Expanded hospital facilities – Created Veterans’ Historical Plaza – Balanced annual city budgets/increased reserves, saving taxpayers’ dollars.
